Divots, Inc. was established in 1995 by Ron Hall Sr. with his wife, Carol. Ron spent 55 years as a Golf Course Superintendent working at Maryland Golf & Country Club, Carolina Trace Country Club, Governors Club, and Carolina Lakes Golf Course. The Hall family served as the majority owners of Carolina Lakes Golf Course from 1993 to 2018. Utilizing his vast knowledge and experience, Ron Sr. built Divots from the ground up and developed high-quality products that are used and respected by numerous companies across the country.
In October 2022, Carol and Ron Sr. sold the business to their son, Ron Jr., and daughter-in-law, Pamela. Ron Jr. grew up in the golf business starting out as a cart boy at Maryland Golf & Country Club and later helping Ron Sr. on the maintenance crew at Carolina Trace. After receiving his degree in Trust Management from Campbell University and working for a short time as a stockbroker, Ron Jr. realized golf was his passion and began his career as a PGA Professional at Greensboro Country Club. In 1993, Ron Jr. had the opportunity to become the head golf professional at Carolina Lakes Country Club where he remained until it was sold to the property owners in 2018 at which time he began once again working with his father. Ron Jr. has worked tirelessly to learn the family business and may even be seen in one of the Divots’ trucks from time to time.

In 2022, Divots’ sand was applied at both the Women’s and Men’s US Open, a shining example of the quality of our products.
